How To Open A Coconut





1 coconut
corkscrew
hammer

1.  Use corkscrew to make a hole in the coconut.  Drain liquid from coconut and discard.

2.  Bake coconut in a 400° oven for 10-15 minutes.

3.  Place coconut on a solid surface and hit in the area of the corkscrew hole with the  hammer.  Coconut should split open.  Remove coconut meat from shell and peel off  the brown skin.

4.  Place coconut meat in food processor to shred.  Coconut may be well wrapped and frozen.
